Nam Gung Min Come Back Through "City Conquest"

Whoaaaa, almost two months I didn't update this blog. I'm so sorry! So now, I'm back with a GREAT news! Finally, our beloved Nam Gung Min Oppa has just been confirmed as joining Kim Hyun Joong in the upcoming manhwa drama adaptation of the gritty 90s City Conquest. YEAH! Finally, HE'S BACK, Vitamins!

This is his 1 year come back after "Can You Hear My Heart" (2011). In the City Conquest, Nam Gung Min Oppa  takes on the role of Cha Ji Ryong who conflicts between hate and ambition after losing his mother due to his father but is ever so caring in front of the female who reminds him of his mother. I think the Cha Ji Ryong's character is same as Jang Joon Ha or Bong Ma Roo's characters in "Can You Hear My Heart". Well, if that so, it will be a piece of cake for Nam Gung Min Oppa. Hihihihi... The drama "City Conquest" is adapted from  the famous manhwa (comic series) "City Conquest" written by Shin Hyung Bin that was released in 1996. To date, nearly 270 issues has been published.This manhwa had sold nearly 10 million copiesis adapted from  and it is still one of the top manhwa among the varieties.  The story is about a man named Baek Mir who fights corruption. "City Conquest" is about the rampant law and evil in our society and the action ad romance of Baek Mir, Lee Dan Bi born with love, Tae Soo-min who makes love and Cha Ji Ryong who only looks towards one woman. 

In the drama, Kim Hyun Joong who have been decided as the lead role will be casting as Baek Mir. Baek Mir leads a life full of resentment ass a child towards his father who left Baek Mir's mother and eventually when he's grow up, he enters the black society to seek revenge from those who have destroyed his family. The drama "City Conquest" directed by director Yang Yunho who have also directed many dramas such as "IRIS", movie "Wind Fighter", "Holiday" and etc., with the drama script written by the scriptwriter for "Lie To Me" anda "Spotlight", Hwang Joo Ha.

Meanwhile, the lead actress has revealed. Rooftop Prince's Jung Yoo Mi has been cast for the role of Lee Dan Bi in the drama “City Conquest” according to her agency Neos Entertainment. Lee Dan Bi has the occupation of a jewelry designer but is a character who dreams of the simplest truths. Beside Jung Yoo Mi, Kim Seung Woo has been cast as Baek Mir's father. 

The shooting will begin on July 10th, at Nikko Edo Mura, Japan. And the shooting itself will takes places in 4 different countries; Korea, Japan, Singapore and Myanmar. Additionally, before the first drama shooting starts, it is confirmed that the drama will be pre-sold to Japan, Taiwan, China, Hongkong and others for an approximate 11.8 billion won. Many viewers are looking forward to Kim Hyun Joong and Nam Gung Min's drama conquering Asia. On the oether hand, "City Conquest" is predicted to be aired later this year.
